Nevada City, CA — Nevada City’s Magic Theater announced today that it has installed the world’s first “bidet-style seating” to accommodate popular “eliminate now” trend which originated in Portland, Oregon and is currently sweeping through California. The bidets will be installed in the back row of the theater, which will provide patrons who choose this special seating more privacy.
The Magic Theater is located on Argall Street in Nevada City’s 7 Hills Business District and has been showing art house and foreign films for several years. The theater has experimented in the past with different types of seating. Several years ago, it featured sofa and arm chairs in lieu of regular cinema seating. One thing that hasn’t changed over the years is the location of the restroom. It is next to the screen, which means patrons typically had to walk in front of the screening to relieve themselves. And when exiting, basically everyone looks up at you. This is fact that has not gone unnoticed by locals.
“I think it’s great idea,” said Nevada City ‘eliminate now’ practitioner and activist Janice Bartley who was in the theater inspecting the new bidets. “The idea is not to hold toxins in your body. If you have to go, you simple just ‘go.’ And I think this new seating arrangement at the Magic [Theater] is just fantastic. Now I won’t have to miss a single minute of any film. And besides, the restroom was at the front of the theater. So I won’t have to walk in front of the screen anymore.”
According to the Magic Theater, there will be no extra charge for the special bidets, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
