A local bakery is in trouble for a big hit.

Nevada City, CA — A local brewing and bakery company in Nevada City is going out on a limb to give the local stoners some bold new products that the area has been in need of. One problem, it has stirred up a hornets nest with the law.

“Like, we just really need our medicine and Johnny law is totally harshing our gig, man,” said local stoner, Tim O. Leery. “Like, the voters are totally cool with people, like having cannabis, man. What is the problem with these sheriff dudes trying to take away our cookies? It’s not like they are donuts, man.”

The bakery, seeing an available niche and a huge clientèle, had decided to begin selling cannabis infused snacks. “With no dispensaries in the county, we thought we would break down the walls of cannabis discrimination as well as break the bank. There are a lot of stoners here,” laughed owner Shana Maziarz. “I’ve been up against some stiff opposition from Sheriff Royal, but show me a woman in the county that the sheriff hasn’t shown his stiff opposition to.”

“This is just great,” chirped a sarcastic and exasperated resident Tommy Empire. “This is just what we don’t need. More damn stoned stoners. This county gets crazier than a barrel full of monkeys this time of year, what with all of the stoners invading the area to harvest pot. I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit.”

The bakery has set up a separate bakery case just for the “Little Doobie Snack Cakes” (a pun on a popular national brand). You must be 21 and have a valid recommendation and ID to purchase these particular treats.
