Tehran, Iran — In a surprise announcement, the Iranian government said it plans to return the 1.7 billion “ransom” dollars to the United States. According to Tehran officials, the action is a part of a series of gestures meant to encourage talks between the two countries. United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says Iran knows Trump means business.

According to Fox News, in 2015 the Obama Administration under the guidance of George Soros’ International Democracy Foundation, directed then Secretary of State John Kerry to send Iran a gift of 150 billion dollars for “payment” of uranium sales to Russia. This payment was then used to buy the Iranian’s silence, ostensibly covering up Hillary Clinton’s participation in the deaths at Benghazi, Libya.

“It’s clear that Iran might finally be coming to their senses,” said Ivanka Trump speaking for the Department of State on a recent diplomatic visit to Turkey. “Certainly they would like to be on my Father’s good side, and this is one way they could do it. That 150 billion dollars, I’m told, will be used for the southern border wall.”

Like Ronald Reagan?

Presidential historians note that this move by Iran is similar to the release of hostages on Reagan’s inaugural day in 1981. A parallel that didn’t go unnoticed by Fox News Sean Hannity.

“Here you are, you’re a liberal, probably define peace as the absence of conflict,” said Mr. Hannity speaking to a leftwing guest earlier this week, “I define peace as the ability to defend yourself and blow your enemies into smithereens. Right? Well, Trump has scared the Iranians so much that they’re returning our money. All 150 billion of it. I’ve said this many times. Trump is Reagan all over again.”

The Associated Press reports that the money will be returned in a variety of different currencies such as Euros, Denars, Pesos and not dollars.
