New York, NY — In breaking news that has shocked the Republican party, and is further alienating Donald Trump from the mainstream GOP, the firebrand and controversial candidate fired his Vice Presidential running mate Mike Pence after the conservative Indiana governor condemned Trump’s recent misogynistic video. The action, which Donald Trump delivered via Twitter, has been condemned by the Republican leadership as inappropriate and reckless.

Mike Pence was very critical of Mr. Trump’s comments he made on a controversial video released from the NBC archives by an anonymous source.

“As a husband and father, I was offended by the words and actions described by Donald Trump in the eleven-year-old video released yesterday. I do not condone his remarks and cannot defend them,” Pence said in a twitter statement. “I am grateful that he has expressed remorse and apologized to the American people. We pray for his family and look forward to the opportunity he has to show what is in his heart when he goes before the nation tomorrow night.”

The comments apparently enraged Donald Trump, and after consulting with his sons, he decided to go the race alone without a running mate. According to insiders close to the campaign, his son Donald Trump, Jr. apparently was key in this announcement and that the campaign was going to conduct “a purge” of the unfaithful.

“Yeah, there was a lot of shouting at the top of Trump Tower,” said a custodian who overheard the conversation and wished to remain anonymous. “When Jr. showed up, he said something like ‘god damn Dad, you’ve ruined this race.’ Then he said that he [Donald Senior] needed to fire the traitors immediately. Mr. Trump agreed and said Pence would be the first of many.”

Gish Gallop reached out to the Pence campaign for comment, but the officials for the Governor refused to answer our questions.
